How game information is checked

Editorial policy

ScritchyScratchy.cc is an independent game site with supporting guides. Its job is to help players distinguish confirmed game facts from version-sensitive details and practical recommendations. It does not present affiliation, copied store descriptions, or unsupported numbers as original reporting.

Editorial standard

Official facts first

Platform availability, developer and publisher attribution, prices, achievement counts, and patch changes are checked against official store pages or publisher material before secondary guides are considered.

Editorial standard

Advice is labeled

Upgrade priorities and route recommendations are suggestions. They are presented with tradeoffs, not as official rules or guaranteed outcomes.

Editorial standard

Version-sensitive claims expire

Odds, prices, balance values, achievement triggers, and late-game behavior can change. Pages identify those boundaries instead of turning one build or community report into a permanent fact.

Editorial standard

Corrections stay reachable

Readers and rights holders can report an error with the page URL and supporting source. Material errors are corrected and relevant updates are explained clearly.

Which sources we use

PrioritySource typeHow it is used
1Developer, publisher, Steam, itch.io, and official patch materialIdentity, availability, release facts, supported features, and named patch changes.
2Current browser or store build checksLaunch behavior, visible controls, demo boundaries, and whether a documented route still exists.
3Player discussions and achievement guidesUsed as route clues; changing triggers are treated as tips until the game confirms them.

What we do not publish as fact

The site does not invent fixed ticket odds, exact unlock timing, player counts, ratings, or developer endorsement. It does not describe the paid game as a free browser release. When a detail cannot be checked in the game or supported by a current official source, the guide either labels the uncertainty or removes the claim.

Corrections and review requests

Send the page URL, disputed sentence, current game version, and a primary source or reproducible check to contact@scritchyscratchy.cc. Copyright and removal requests follow the separate copyright process.
