Patch 1.2 status on September 30, 2026
The developer's official Steam announcement “OUT NOW: The Challenge Update!” is dated September 28 and identifies the release as Patch 1.2. The challenge menu opens after your first Prestige. Two challenges appear first; completing them progressively unlocks the other seven.
The separate September Android crash fix only describes a stability change. It is a different platform update from the Steam Patch 1.2 announcement, so check your platform's current build and in-game menus for availability.
The nine Patch 1.2 challenges
Every challenge has unique conditions, a dollar goal, and a reward. The official launch post describes the rules below. Challenges are self-contained runs, so read the conditions before buying tickets or upgrades.
- Student Loans: begin with three unfavorable loans; there is no trash can, and symbols stay hidden until a card is fully scratched.
- Ticket Merge: you can buy plates only; plates merge into higher-tier tickets.
- Limited Supply: you can buy 15 tickets total; start with $8,000 and unlocks through Apple Tree.
- Lucky Bag: buy only lucky bags, each with a random selection of tickets.
- Print Error: tickets come from a printer; low ink can cause print errors, while an empty printer ends the game.
- Shuffle: tickets contain random symbols borrowed from other tickets.
- Gadget Only: gadgets alone buy, scratch, and claim tickets.
- No Luck Involved: luck upgrades are disabled; Jackpots pay 1,000× and Super Jackpots 1,000,000×.
- Ticket Furnace: keep the furnace fueled with your most expensive unlocked ticket to reach 100%.
Unlocking the secret catalogue and ending
Complete all nine challenges to unlock a secret catalogue containing three mysterious tickets. The official announcement says that this catalogue can lead to a new special ending. Follow the current in-game prompts when playing the ending route.
Steam's achievement list now shows 38 entries, including Challenge Apprentice (complete 1 challenge), Challenge Novice (complete 5), Challenge Master (complete all challenges), and No more gambling (find and scratch Scritchy Scratchy Headquarters).
Platform and save notes
The September 28 post is the official Steam launch notice for Patch 1.2. It separately says cross-platform save export is available on PC and mobile and is coming to Switch; this does not establish simultaneous Challenge availability on every platform. Check your current build's announcement feed and Challenge menu.
